This box has been sitting in my shop for as long as I can remember. It has been in various stages of completion for a very long time. I would find scraps that I thought might fit the bill for what was needed and set them aside. In between projects or when I needed to take a break from what I was working on, I would work on this. This started out as a place to put my marking gauges. I slowly put it together and this the outcome. The top is a piece of deck grade plywood. The border of the lid is walnut and cherry. I like the way the plywood came out. The box is cherry with poplar wedges on the corner. Let me know what ya’ll think, good or bad.

I really like it!! The inside is beautiful! Sometimes people neglect making the inside as nice as the outside – you did an outstanding job – thanks for posting

Nice job on the box. When are you going to make something that uses the inlay you made on your last project? I loved that inlay and i can not wait to see you put it on a project.

Qmoney, That inlay trim has been slotted for a entertainment center for my brother. The ball is in his court to get me a design of his choice. He lives in Louisiana and I live in Texas, so it is a telephone/E-mail communication situation. It’s coming…..
