Recently Oneida (Dust Deputy company) came out with a custom Dust Deputy Systainer for the Festool Vacs. Already being fed up about buying those expensive Festool bags I was pretty excited about getting one and saving money but then I saw the cost; ~230 bucks. OUCH!!
Here’s my version of uniting Festool and the Dust Deputy at less than half the cost. It’s not as ‘COOL’ looking as the Systainer version but it’ll save me money on the Festool bags and I’ll recoup the cost much quicker with my homemade version.
Not really a project but more of an idea for other Festool owners who are spending way too much money on those vac bags.

Looks great, however I do believe that Oneida riped this design off from
Bill Pentz, but I guess the one that can pay the most for lawyers wins. Anyway is it nice to see others from Oregon on here

It works great with my TS55 track saw. I love Festool,,, I just wish I could afford more of their tools.
Yeah, I don’t know the history of the patent. Was it the lack of a patent on Bill’s part?

What ever it takes to lengthen the life of the HEPA filter. Plus you have a cool overhead hose holder.

Hi Ted,
How is this still working for you? Do you still like it? Are there any modifications you would make if you were doing this over?
Do you mind sharing the rough measurements of the base/cord holder you made?
Thanks in advance!
Have your say...
