Very nice. How does this wood smell when turning? Simple and nice, thanks for sharing!

I really don’t notice any particular smell when I turn it.

That has a cool natural grain pattern. How big in diameter does avacado wood come?
Where do you find avacodo wood?

I get small firewood bundles at a local farmer’s market in San Diego where Avocado is fairly common as firewood… the sizes that I see there are about 6” diameter or so. I am sure there are pieces that are larger, but I haven’t really put much effort into finding anything much larger, although I would like to make a good 6 or 7” wide bowl from this wood. It turns really well, and as you can see the grain is usually very figured.

Another fantastic turning. Avacodo has a lot of charecto and you turning brings it out. Great job.
Keep it up.

You could send me a private message, but I’m in the military and currently deployed… I check my email fairly often, but our bandwidth is kinda low, and the internet is slow, so I don’t check this page to often. I’ll check back here and there to see if you have responded.
