I took a page from Trifern and tried dying some wood. The wood is curly maple and is dyed with aniline dye. The finish is wipe on polyurethane and finished with 3 coats of lacquer. The bowl measures 3” tall and 5” in diameter.

but oddly makes me wonder what if we carved watermelons for halloween.
