This console table is part of a set commissioned by a client. I will be posting the dining table and chairs as soon as I get it finished. The whole set will find its home in Frankfurt, Germany by next month.
The legs are stack laminated, steam bent Ipil and Molave. the locks are kamagong (ebony). I used Dungon ( iron wood) for the top and inlayed molave ties. The headers or ends to lock the planks in place is of saplungan ( tiger molave) The stretchers and base is also made from saplungan. The studs at the edge of the drawers and drawer pulls are ebony. The face drawer is Molave and it’s sides and bottom are all in ipil. The drawer guides I fashioned in ironwood. have a great weekend fellow LJs.

Benji, You are the man!! I absolutly love this. How luck your customer is!! Keep up the good work. I can’t wait to see the other members of the set. It would be great to see the whole set in place if you could get a picture.

I don’t know how you come up with these designs Benji and the craftsmanship too is just astounding. It’s a privilege to get to see your amazing work.

Beautifully executed and designed. I’m sure this will be enjoyed for many generations to come as it looks quite durable and probably weighs a ton! How are you shipping to Germany? Slow boat?

@ mmh, Hi, The set will be consolidated in a 20 foot container and shipped via slow boat. My estimate is 30 days to get there. I’m bias to shipping via slow boat since it gives the wood components more time to get acclimated as it enters a climate change.

Thanks for your comments guys!
