Drilled a hole right through the “Box” and the drill press table. Messed up a spline. Lucky it was kinda stout or it woulda become fireplace tinder.

Looks like crap, cut a wedge of wood to make the box level. Then don’t tell that the box was a screw up, just that it is a shop accessory. ;-)

I was gonna make it flat looking, but ended up settling on the outside edge being a level support table for the drill press. ;)

Great use of a “mistake”. Looks like it will serve it’s purpose well. No matter the circumstances of how it made it to your drill press. Hope you and your family enjoy your shop for many years to come.

Or find another dp table and get that on the column and build a box to fit that so it will be up and out of the way.
