Shop Storage Dresser

Needed a better storage spot for all the boxed items and other “extra” toys in the shop than this mess..

Got a few 2×4s, some 1/4” plywood, made a frame & panel sides. 1×8s and 1×6s for the drawers. Top is a 1/4” pine panel, sitting in a frame. Drawers are made with 1/2’ through dovetails in the front corners, with the back sitting in a dado. Mainly hand tool construction.

Finish is one coat of the Infamous Witch’s Brew I use on pine. Last photo shows how the dovetails look.

I think there is a LONG Blog about how this dresser was made…

Nice job. Drawers are always a challenge.

Congrats on finish bandit, that is a lot of shop storage space. I like all of the exposed joinery there.

Lotta work there bandit, and a hearty well done a great looking result.

Extend your right arm out shoulder high. palm up and swing it backwards and in at about 45 degrees a few times!

Now I have to ask a coupla questions, and please dont think they distract from the massive effort you have done.
Here we go:-

1 Are the dovetails oriented correctly? and,
2 Did you clean all the laundry equipment up after you fiinished and before the wife saw them?

I guess obviously you did as if it was me I wouldnt have got to be able to post a fine project!
