Blue box

This box was made for my son he stated he wanted the lid to be blue (his school color) so blue it is. Wanted it to be a little larger but he picked the size 8.5” x 7.5” x 4.5” tall. The shell of the box is walnut with the raised panel lid is made with ash maple stained with transtint blue. The inner tray is mostly bocote wood .

Added some splines out of bocote with 3 on each corner.

Finished mostly with Arm R Seal to give it some protection.. The last picture is before assembly.

Very nice. I love the blue raised panel and the splines. Family heirlooms are the best projects. GREAT job !

Looks great. That blue top turned out really nice and walnut is always a good choice!
