16W x 24H x 30L made out of knotty pine
not going to put a back on it, so I get the max air flow
stained it with BEHR oil wood stain 611 colonial maple

Very nice – I agree about keeping the back off for air flow.
I made a similar one…..however mine is labled “peanuts”, “chips” “beer”

It looks great. Being an Irishman, I would have made the whole thing for potatoes. And like Digger said, potatoes REALLY don’t like the light. Maybe you could just put a back on the one side.

I have to clean out a corner in my storage room, then he’s going up against a wall. Your right about potatoes and the light, turns them green and apparently poisonous

Keep em totally dark, dry and at 4°C (39°F) and they will last at least 6 months. Nice project and definitely food for though (no pun intended)

A potato box was just put on the ””honey-do” list by my wife. I like your design. I may have to try something like this soon. Keep up the good work!
