Peppermill from Shedua

Here is a peppermill I made. I think the wood is shedua. It was a blank I got at the Rockler store. I also bought the hardware kit there. This was my first try at making one. First there is a counterbore in the base, and a bore all the way through the body. I had to get a bit extension. I turned the body and knob, with a tennon on the knob. Then parted off the knob and finished it using a jam chuck. The knob also has a narrow bore to accept the grinder shaft. I embellished with a little wire burning, sanded, and finished with a wipe-on polly.
