Very nice. Thanks for posting. I have some hackberry trees in my yard. I wondered what the wood looks like and now I know

Very interesting wood. Does the top come off?

I love the form and the wood. Hackberry turns really well. Great work.

Great hollow form. Nice shape and wood. I like the shape of the finial. Gives it good balance.

Keep it up.

Great job, I love the finial, really “tops it off”.

Walt, Hackberry is a creamy white when first cut but it starts to turn dark almost overnight and will spalt wonderfully.

mtkate the lid is still loose. I think I need to rechuck it and work on the shape a little. Not sure I like the tip.
