This is the armoire that I made to match the bed that I built. Constructed from birch plywood and pine. Full extension drawer slides. The box on the bottom shelf is a sliding and rotating box for my wife to store her jewelry boxes.

-- Hardwoods shouldn't be so expensive. Unlike money, hardwoods literally grow on trees!!!

I like it. Looked like walnut at first glance. Could you sand or plane those stains inside the doors? I think that would smarten it up a bit.

Matt, thanks! You are absolutely correct about the stain. I am actually getting that done this weekend. I should have done it originally, but I guess I got lazy.

looks good and will be handy for sure!
might be easier to mask off the inside door panel and just stain the back frames?
or just stain the whole back?
