This is one of my first serious projects and my first time using a finger joint jig. The sides are black walnut and the base is luan (yes). Finish is Formby’s tung oil. The lip at the front was the hardest thing to do without it looking hand made.

Why wouldn’t you want it to look hand made? One of the challenges in all of my projects is making sure people know its handmade.

Its really nice.

Perhaps “hand made” was the wrong choice of words. I just like straight clean edges.
