Just getting my first 5 posts out of the way. I’m new to the group and a new woodworker. I recently chainsaw milled some alder laying in my yard (3 trees worth). Inrealize I need to make some jigs for more accurate work and a cross cut sled and box jig will be some first on the list.

I’m open to suggestions for beginner level projects and jigs from all you ace level guys. Just to give you an idea I have a good table saw, jointer, planer, 2 band saws, biscuit joiner, and some spindle sanders. Along with most basic hand tools I can probably get by with most projects. My neighbor and mentor is a retired 30+ year union carpenter with a very good shop setup and helps me out a bit but I like a little more modern look and lighter colors than he typically makes (he’s in his 70’S and does amazing work!)

Thanks! I planed it before it was completely dry so it’s not completely flat but did come out nice!

Welcome to the group!
Very nice table, and I like the wood as well!
