5” D x 7” H Live Oak Vase
This was turned from a Live Oak log that was destined to be a chunk of firewood. I turned it into a piece of art instead! The wall is turned down to 3/16” and dyed with leather dyes. Black, red, blue and yellow. Sanded down to 400 then a wood filler applied to seal the pores in the oak. Finished with wipe on ploy and coat of wax.
