Wanted to make an Esrog Box (Google it), used 3/4 Padauk, I would have rather used thinner wood, but this is all I had, and when I made it I didn’t have a planer. Used a miter saw to cut and miter the Paauk. Router table with a straight 1/4” bit for the dado with an oak plywood bottom, also used a slot cutting bit to cut the splines and the router table, squared off the splines with a file, and used oak for the splines themselves. Mortised the hinges, and finished with Danish Oil.

Overall, I like how it looks, but it’s a little heavy to bring to Synagogue, but I brought anyway.
