Heres another project I finished, made this for my girlfriend this last Christmas. Started Christmas eve, and finished the build that night, she was surprised to say the least. The finish took a few days to complete. Used the Maloof oil/wax three coats, then briwax two coats. Actually a lot nicer than the pics turned out. This is the first project of my own lumber complete, I cut, dried and milled this wood myself. This maple was out of a huge tiger maple log me and a friend split on. We came out with tons of lumber. The back was two boards resawn to 3/8”, shiplapped, I love the “flame” configuration. She no longer “needs” a bookshelf, nice addition to the living room.
thanks for having me, oldskool. this is soft tiger maple, does anybody know, is it also Ambrosia?
