Hi Marius,
Nice sharp looking chest. Did you have any problems attaching the handles? I ask because I once put handles on a ponderosa pine chest I once built and I screwed them in, but the ponderosa was a tad softer than I expected and the handles tended to pull away over time.
I do like the proportions of the chest, it is appealing to the eye.

the handles, well i used a piece of trimblock that had 2 different colors in it bandsaw/and sander i poke a hole from the inside, the put the screw though the hole poke the handle with the screw tip… drill out a pilot hole for the 3’’ screws , a dab of glue and the screws actually grab through about just past center of the handle part thusly re-enforcing the handle….... by the way i also use little doughnut type of washers..i dont really know what there called but i bout like a thousand of them YEARS ago , the screw head fits right in it and the edges of the washer and the washer actually prevents splitting… i suppose that a picture in this case would save a thousand words….
