The wifey bought me a new miter saw for Chistmas, the old Craftsman 10” just wasn’t ‘cutting’ it any longer. Made the the inside supports from some scrap 2”x4”s and 3/4” ply. the outside is Poplar and Birch Ply with the side supports topped with melamine. On the left cabinet I made a drawer that slides out for a my TS blades & dado set. It also carries my little TS Caddy I made for when I change blades (really don’t like setting metal objects on top of the Saw Stop). Added dust collection that woks ‘ok’; not sure if there’s a true dust collection set-up for a 12” miter saw. All drawers are full extension and really added storage for my small work space.

Thanks Pottz. Really struggled with what fence to build. Ended up just using the INCRA T-Track Plus (with measuring tape) on each side. Seems like its going to work out. Let me know how your dust collection build works out.

Nice. I have saw envy. About to build a wall mounted station that will be transportable for my Rigid miter saw. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to a sliding miter saw like the one you have here.

- Notw

The overall length for the top is just over 8’
