I made these simple frames for my wife. The structure is cherry and corner keys are maple. The finish is polyurethane.

I-O….!

Thanks for the kind words.

Dan, the stiles and rails are ~4/4 in the small frames and ~8/4 in the larger ones. Both are ~3/4 thick.

My dad gave me the cherry…it has been above his garage for the last 25 years. I am not sure how old it really is, but it is beautiful lumber when it is cleaned up. By the looks of it, you can all make out “The Ohio State University” on my college diploma framed in the last picture. My wife and I are both Buckeye’s….I lived in the Shoe for the first two years of school and proposed to my wife on the oval. Go Bucks….!

Do you have a mitre jig to make your cuts or do you just you you mitre gauge on the TS? Gorgeous frames BTW. I love the contrasting splines!!!
