Made this for my daughter as she had no lamp on her nightstand at her mothers house. Recalling those plastic cubes that held small pictures at my grandmothers house I set out to merge these two items. Th satisfaction on her face when she saw it, = PRICELESS.

That’s brilliant idea to put photo frame/stand and lamp in one project. Nice work on turning part of the lamp.

Very cool.
Do the 4 pictures rotate around the lamp so you can view them sitting in one spot???
If so, how did you do that?

You did a great job on this lamp and I’ll bet your daughter loved it. Nice work!

Yes they do rotate you can take your finger and spin it and it rotates about 3-4 full turns before stopping. The box rotates around the shaft of the lamp which is held in place at the bottom to the base. I used a bearing and race from a F150 and put them at the bottom of the box. The bearing is dry and the weight of the box is enough to hold it in place. I turned the shaft so the top is larger to keep the box from being lifted up and off the lamp.
