Table Saw Workstation

Here is my latest completed project, a table saw workstation. I’ve been planning on building one for a while but never had the time to sit down and figure out how I wanted to do it. Before I built this, the saw was on a real weak aluminum stand that let the saw rock and move when you were cutting really heavy pieces, cutting a full sheet of ply wasn’t even a thought. I ended up on a design that was compact, able to fit in my crammed shop, and easily moved. I didn’t want it to cost a ton of money so I used 2×4’s and some b/c grad plywood. It measures 40” wide by 48” long. I did build a dust shoot under the saw which actually works better that what the saw originally had which was just a bag underneath. The out feed table is about 2’ wide so I’ve got plenty of support compared to what I used to have.

Very nice. I’ve been thinking of building something similar; with an router table on the other end and a another side support on hinges that flips down for when I’m not using the table. That way I can cut full sheets of plywood with out having to have my wife help.

Nice job Brian.

Fladdy, forget the “router table on the other end” and check out Brian’s other project (hint: it’s a router table). :)
