Efficient and Stupid Simple Saw Till

I was rearranging my garage shop right after the New Year and looked at the space behind my garage door mechanism and next to my plane till. I have wanted to build a saw till for awhile, but I realized the box is really already there! I used a forstner bit on the side panel of the plane till and added a spacer board for the other end of my scrap 1” dowel, laid out my saws on the dowel and leaned against the wall where I marked the studs and then cut some strips of scrap, then added kerfs. I was literally finished and putting my scattered saws and saw “projects” away within 15 minutes. I wish all my solutions were this simple and efficient!

This is how I’m justifying getting more saws. Very cool approach!

I like the built ins route. Good idea.
