My 2 year old son loves Mickey Mouse and I had just bought a new scroll saw, so I figured it was a great time for a homemade gift. Kind of a silly project, but he loves seeing it on his wall.

That’s a awesome looking project. I may hav to steal it for my boy. I also hav a girl so I may hav to tweak it a little and do a mini mouse version too. The light wood looks lik oak. What is the darker wood?

Thanks!! My daughter is too young to be interested yet, but I am sure soon enough I will have to do a minnie mouse as well.

The light wood is oak and the dark wood is walnut. I’m a big fan of the oak-walnut contrast.
