I don’t know anything about making a bee hive but this one looks very sturdy and thought out! What will you be sealing it with? I was thinking of making a bee home, but just out of wood and the circle holes. Your bee hive is a fabulous home! Have you been raising bees a long time or is this for someone else? I just started beekeeping, much more difficult than I had imagined. I found plans for this traditional design on a website, http://www.michiganbees.org/beekeeping/in-the-beekeepers-workshop/ . Pretty good plans, definitely made it easy.

I painted it with oil based paint and the bees seal the hive from the inside with a glue like substance they produce called propolis.
