Ok so this project was finished maybe a month ago, yes it’s another school project. I forgot the exact measurements but overall if i remember correctly it’s 7’ long and the front of the pillasters are roughly 3” off the “wall”. All basswood (paint grade) and we did mortise all the joints but the tenons are only 1” deep, so the little pyramids are for show. Every set back (when you move from stiles to rails) is ~1/16” to give the depth perception, and gives more deapth to the pillasters. All the edges were rounded by hand with snad papaer on blocks. We got in the mid to high 90%’s (forgot the exact mark) 4 people worked on it including myself. It is based on a magazine article but it was made on a plywood box, we actualy made all the joints.
Ps A budy of mine kept the mantle, I kept the plans ;)
