Good afternoon fellow Lumberjocks:

Seems like it has been quite a while since I have posted any new projects here at LJ’s. Last year we built a new house which has consumed most of my time. It was time to downsize. Now that we are in, a lot of time has been going to try and figure out how to make a new shop with about half the space I had in the previous house. Great going through some of the old posts here for ideas.

Anyway, today I decided to take a break and make a couple of quick projects for a good friend, and our contractor on the new place. He is a avid snooker player and golfer. Last year he made a hole in hole and also came into possession of a signed cue ball. I felt it only right to make him a couple of pedestals to display them on. Turned on my lathe, wood used was walnut and finish is Tung oil.

I have also include a picture of our new house…....... still lots to do, but it is looking good now. :-)

Great to see you back on the job Brian, A very nice way of showing appreciation of your contractors work you must be happy with the result :-).
We downsized about 3 years ago & yes it takes a while to sort out how things are going to work here on so to speak, I was used to a stand alone shop in the back yard & now share part of a double garage, had to sell a lot of gear but hey it all worked out just fine.
cheers
Pete

Very good Brian. House is awesome, and your projects are awesome as well. You’ll be settled in before you know it. Work/play safe.

Whilst the gifts are good with the house looking great,
and I do hope you’ve managed to keep a large shed for your toy workshop…
