Again just some projects in the last few weeks to take the stress off. I love to turn wood, and I like to make small things usually. The first picture is off 4 ornaments together. The first one is one of my favorites, 50 year old cherry bird house, with a laminated Cayenne cap that was textured with a Wagner texture tool, with a Paduk wood perch. It is hollow as you can see, this is to keep the weight down so if used on a tree it will hang right. Second the tiny pink acorn is textured with a dremel tool and is solid wood, cap was painted. The next bird house is a cherry cap made like Devo’s hats (rock band from the 70’s) with a Camo laminate house with a White Holly perch, hollow also. The last one was an oops on the lathe, intented to be a bird house, I lathed too far and the bottom collapsed! Scared me a bit, but recooped and made this smaller whatever you call it. The part that broke was a bright green laminate with textured Cayenne caps to match each other. It kind of looks like a Oreo Cookie on drugs! I have a lot of fun making these bird houses, and they seem to get a lot of attention. Should sell well. Thanks for looking!
