Combo of walnut, cherry, maple, and padauk. These are just the result of cutting up the remaining stock I had into something useful. All edges are chamfered with the jointer, and then the board is sanded to 320. Raise the grain with some water between 120 and 220. Finished with mineral oil and beeswax. All edge grain. This picture is before i applied any oil and wax

Nice looking boards. Do you mix your own mineral oil and beeswax? Any tips on how to do that would be appreciated.

The color combination of those species looks great, do you have any pictures of the boards after the oil/wax application?

I do 2 coats of straight up mineral oil, and then come back with 1 good coat of Howard’s butcher block conditioner(oil and wax). It’s like $7.
Its easiness and price outweigh the trouble of mixing my own in my opinion.
