This is my first crack at pencil holders and it is based on the Wood whisper’s design. Desk space is generally at a premium so I figured by adding a clock it would stand a better chance of actually getting used. I think I may have made them a touch to tall .I must admit I like the look of the square clocks but it’s a pain to make a square hole. Yea go figure I had thought it would be a square face on a round clock insert. Nope it’s square.
The wood is quarter saw oak that were leftovers from a floor my brother-n-law put down and the base is made from sapele .
The clocks were purchased thru clockit’s company and were like 7bucks each plus a few dollars for shipping
I have always had good experiences with this company and if you need clock parts they are a great source.
The middle one igoing to be a going away gift and I plan on having everyone at the office sign it like a card. I’ll then seal it with glue size and a heavy coat of poly
The other 2 are thank you gifts.

You did right in making it a square clock. It makes it a little hard to read when it gets to the corner areas but the face is in keeping with the design. (Sometimes you have to sacrifice practicality to get the right look) Awesome job!!

Great idea- tow things in one. You’re right about the desk space. What did we ever do before 24” monitors ??
