Shellac finish.

Very nice … love the holly inlay! Okay, I know it’s a secret, but where is the compartment?

There is a hinged drop down tray under the top seat. Now I have to kill you. Where do you live.

I wish I had photos to show you. I build a framework under the seat, then secured the legs into that framework. It’s way over built but that’s the way I do it.
