Walnut veneer and figured maple keepsake wedding box. The inlay on the inside lid matches the font used in the wedding invitation. The circular Birdseye maple inlay mimics the floral wreath on the invitations.

The white “blades” on the inside back edge represent the London Rowing Club—of which the recipient is a member. He was also on the U.K. Olympic Rowing Team in the Summer 2016 Olympics.

The box is banded in curly maple with concealed hinges. The bottom interior is black velvet and the bottom exterior is distressed leather.

Finish is Watco Danish oil and paste wax. A fairly challenging gift to make.
