Buffet Table

Though I would try my hand at a Buffet Table this weekend. I copied the design from the Ana White website with a few changes in dimensions and modeled it up in Solidworks. Solidworks makes it so much easier to generate an accurate cut list. Now all I have to do it paint the bottom and stain the top. I’m thinking about going with a flat white on the bottom and a dark walnut for the top.

Update: Finally got the stain and paint on. I think it turned out pretty good.

Nice job. I built that same one recently. I had a hard time getting the miters cut correctly for the X’s on the ends.

Thanks. I have found that the only way I can avoid miss-cuts on my miters is to cut the 2X2’s a little long and then place it on the outside of the square frame and trace my miter cuts to match. Takes the guess work out of getting the angles write when there might be a variance between the two opposite corners.

I built simiilar one in spring. I added diagonal corner on back to keep it from “racking”
I think your color choice white bottom dark top will look excellent !

Thank you all. I will be putting the final coat of Poly on top this afternoon and then I’ll post some completed pictures this evening.

What would guys think is a good sell price point for this buffet table? I have seen these things going anywhere from $200 upwards to the $400’s.

candadianchips – I like the look of that table. I had mine listed on the local sites for $250 so I think I just need to let it set and wait for the right person to come along.

A lady custom ordered this one. She saw a pintrest table and asked if I could do that !
Some of my other tables are selling. Like you say RIGHT person sees it and has to have it.
I have a cousin displaying and selling mine.
She has a hairdresser shop, the right ladies come in there.”Lots of exposure”
