The latest dragon has been finished. I’m not sure, but I think this might be the 6th one i’ve done. It started with an article in a 2000 issue of Woodworking by Mr. Hutchinson.I loved his design, but I wanted something a little more, well,,,,, dragon-ey.

I used the article as the basis for my design, refining the shape of the body, head and tail, plus adding articulated front legs.

This version uses black walnut, maple and cherry. All four legs as well as tail, wings and head move when it is pulled along. Yes, it is a pull toy!

Thanks for looking.

Dragon Video

This video is of the one I made just before this one. Except for wood choice same design as this one.

Very cool. Looks great. Love the contrasting wood tones and it looks really solid.

dansnow Looking great and love your souping it up with your own ideas.
I couldn’t get mine to load ether so added it to my Facebook photos and then added a link and all was good.
I’m not much of a face book user but just added my pictures and now one video to be able to show it here.

That’s a great looking dragon! You used some nice looking wood combos, and I like the friendly look of him!

(By the way, you can upload your video to YouTube, and post a link here.)
