Made this game after looking at the store bought ones and finding them to be made with a different design
and very cheaply.

I made a shut the box game, but I must say yours is certainly light years better than mine. Great job.

Much better than the flip down ones I have made. It would also be easier to put another game on the opposite side.

Wade, I like this design. It is better than my flip number design. Good thinking and very nice design. I like the 1/2 balls as finger catches. Good thinking there. Did you glue on 1/2 balls or is it a turning? This is a solid design with a lower side to reach into the dice area. I take it that the “10” slot is a place to store the dice in and that this slide is a top for the storage area. That would explain the area that shows and is surrounded with felt. Despite the game’s title I think you were right to not put a top to shut on this box as it lets everyone playing see the numbers and follow the play. Nice neat workmanship and design. I really like this project. Where did you get the numbers? Thanks for sharing it with us. Keep boxing and keep posting .

I burned the numbers in with a wood burning/number stamp.
Yes the “10” slot is for the dice, although the ones in the picture are too big.
Smaller dice will fit.
The 1/2 balls were bought as is from Wood craft as I remember.
Thanks for your feedback!

What a great design for this game. you just never know when a simple modification can really make a piece more appealing. Wonderfully done, thank you for sharing

How does this game work? Such a simple idea turned into a beautiful crafted item though! I’d like a cover for the box though so that when I pack it away into storage the dice and other components won’t get lost. But I suppose that’s easy enough to fashion once you get the basic idea!

Have your say...
