I was watching Youtube woodworking videos when I stumbled across this project. I normally don’t paint woodworking projects.

However after watching Gary Lowes Videos and then seeing Tim Yoder’s Cosmic bowl I had to try it. So I ordered the paint and had a go at it. I also received advice from a cpl Lumber-jocks here jtriggs & TheDane

I started with Ash, Cut the bowl bottom with a slight OG And then basically follow there videos. I tried this one with out the stipe like they did trying to be creative.

Thx for looking

I saw that Yoder video and thought that would be cool and challenging to try. Well, you actually did it and I must say did it very well. What a beautiful piece Ken!

I had seen both youtube videos by Gary Lowe and Tim Yoder, and think this actually came out better than theirs! Good Job!

I think you gave these guys some competition. I’m gonna have to go look up those videos. Great work.

Thx for all the kind words, It if wasn’t for the help of others I would have never even thought of this. I’m normally not very artistic. I’m going to try some of the other colors and see what I can come up with. Thx again.

Ken,
Thanks for the mention. You did a great job. I like your variation. That round stuff is fun isn’t it?

I’ve got a couple more oak blanks I want to try some different colors on also. Can’t wait to see your next ones.
