This is a bench I made for a friend, he is going to paint it himself, so I made it from poplar. It is meant to be a piece for his kids to sit and do crafts, so I felt I had to make it sturdy. The seat is joined with biscuits and the pieces under the seat are held to the seat with sliding dovetails to allow for expansion and contraction of the wood, they are glued only in the middle 2 inches. The legs are all mortise and tenon joinery. All the edges are chamfered for safety sake. All together I am very happy with it, it came together relatively quickly for me, and came out as I had intended. 4 feet long, 11 inches wide, and 19 inches tall.
Thanks for checking it out.
