Dark Ivy - Pyrography On Mahogany Plate

My submission to a local wood art show, is a 10” x 3/4” turned mahogany plate decorated with pyrography. I have approximately 40 hours in it including design time and finishing.

Very cool, my oldest son just bought me a nice simple weller woodburning set for christmas, I’m already looking to upgrade … it’s addictive :)

How do you keep the fumes away?

Thanks all for the compliments. It’s my pleasure to share the talent God has given me. The world has enough evil and ugliness, so I try to create things that are good and beautiful.

Oldnovice, I use a box fan to pull the fumes away. I still come in the house smelling like a fireplace though!
