A good friend asked if I could make an end table with an old ships helm she had on a wall at her beach house. Center is 8 pcs of cherry to form the circle and the bottom is also cherry. The rope was glued and stapled in place. Top is tempered glass. Turned out pretty good.

Very good idea and combination of few different materials – wood, glass, rope, metal

”...pretty good”? No way, that is AWESOME! Perfect for anyone who loves the ocean or boats. (My brother-in-law would love it.) Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone. it was a fun project and I learn a little more about table making, seems I make a lot of them but don’t post them all here. I am working on another beer cap coffee table for a OSU fan. Which means drink more beer that have a red/scarlett cap.. tough job but someone has to do it. :)
