Project Information

Here are the results of the big leaf maple I mentioned in a post a couple of weeks ago. The first two lazy susans are 16" and the third one is 12". The last two are wine bottle holders. I have 20 of the bottle holders made up with a mix of different trim strips in anticipation of a large show this month.

I really like this big leaf maple. It comes alive when you hit it with an oil finish. I used three coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal, wiped on by hand.

This came out awesome good work. Quilted Maple is one of my favorite woods, I just built a set of nightstands where I used it in the doors. Check out my projects and take a look

I definitely have to make some of those…
The wine bottle balancers look to be a winner.

The angle is 40 deg. The whole thing is 10" x 3". The hole is 1 1/4" and centered 7 1/2" from the bottom front edge.

Just looked over this and most of your other work. Nice looking stuff and I really enjoy the color contrast you've used on many of them!
