box joint jig

So after mulling over the Incra Box Joint Jig for two weeks, I decided to make a box joint jig. The Incra jig is quite nice and I do think it is nearly worth the price. However, I need to see how much I’ll use one. If this one comes up lacking, I may end up purchasing the Incra.

I basically made a very small cross-cut sled that I could adapt.

In my past experience in making this type of jig, I ended up using small parts for the spacing that I could pop in with double-sided tape.

I also adapted my plastic mirrors to keep an eye on my fingers during the process. This is something I added to my cross-cut sled years ago (also got the tip published in Wood Magazine, $100 yay!)

I also added a small ride along box to keep all the little parts

The box has a magnetic latch top.

You did a nice job on this jig. It will be a great addition to your shop.
