I wanted to design and build a matching bedroom set from scratch. I was going for simple and dark. A lady I use to work with had no use for some very old hardwood oak boards since her husband had recently passed away. She let me take them off her hands and I told her I would make good use out of them. I planed the boards and cut off the cracked ends and just like that the boards were brand new. I had just enough to make legs for all three pieces which was the focus around the design. The rest is made out of 3/4” veneer plywood and 1.5” trim for the doors and sides. I was looking for a little darker, but have been very happy with the turnout. I may add a hutch for the desk in the future.

LOL- I think it is very fitting that as a lumberjock- making the bed for the picture was not a concern! :)
Nice looking project!
