So this was my first forey into furniture making. We had run out of room in our liquor storage (keep buying whiskey and not finishing off the bottles!) and my wife requested a liquor cabinet. 9 months later… It was a tough build, sometimes because I didn’t know what I was doing, sometimes because my initial design had some questionable decisions, and sometimes because I purposely did things the hard way. It would have been done 2 months earlier but I decided to French Polish it. Then I figured out my drop in shelves couldn’t be dropped in but would be locked in once the glue was set. So I ended up finishing the whole piece separate (the ends and the doors were glued up but not the paneling in the back) and THEN glueing up.

Impressive – especially for a first piece!
