It’s pretty much a duplicate of the last project I posted, but this time I had the courage to attack the stash of actual stained glass I got for Christmas.

This time I captured the glass panel with a channel routed into the frame, but unlike last time, I left the bottom of the glass panel exposed. I experimented with back lighting, but nothing is really strong enough to penetrate except sunlight, so the show position is with the lid open and the top facing a sunlight window.

Hemlock for the box, Mahogany for the pyramid buttons. Felt liner. Sam Maloof oil wax finish. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful wooden elements and of course stained glass part. Your skill is better and better each day. Those wooden pyramids confused me – I thought it was bottom. Now I realise it’s top decoration.

Nice job on the glass, like the bright colors.

That made me laugh Ivan :-) Thanks! Maybe they would be good for feet, I’m glad you mentioned it.

Beautiful box, but think the hinge makes me wonder?
