I recently seen a picture online of this step stool & decided to copy it I just cut 2 dados for the small step to slide in.

the material is 3/4 birch cabinet grade ply

Hi Bob,

I think this is truely a lovely piece from a design and interpretation point of view. You’ve taken a fairly common basic idea, and added a lot of yourself into this. The result, to my eye, is a very refined piece that’s many notches above a simple step stool.

Looks really good. Is the sliding step captured in any way, or can it slide completely out?
