This was my first effort at marquetry. SAPFM had a meet where the fans were demonstrated and I made a set that sat on my bench for several months without a project. My wife mentioned that she wanted a tray made and I thought that would be a good use for the fans. I had also wanted to try the eagle and this is the result.

Sweet – How about a closeup of the eagle?

Hey Pete! I’ll have to wait until I’m home to get a better pic of the eagle. Not sure I want to show a closeup since it will reveal my flaws!!! :-p

Just added a closeup of the eagle. Please excuse the flaws!

Ike, I didn’t take any progress pics of the fans. Sorry, but I’ll have to wait until I have some time to make some more.
