Made with the help of some plans out of an old issue of Wood Magazine. The only real change to the plans that I made was the addition of the veneered top. I always wanted a place to put my pocket stuff and now I do.

I crafted this dresser valet from fine cabinet grade solid Cherry and accessorized it with some Black Walnut Burl. Perfect to coral and organize your daily accessories. The single drawer slides on solid maple runners for a lifetime of service.

Specifications:
Dimensions – 15” x 11.5” x 5.25”
Construction – Solid Cherry and Black Walnut Burl Veneer, single drawer and three cubbies.
Sliding single front drawer with a brass knob. Leather lined drawer and cubbies.
Finished with lacquer for a lifetime of surface protection and shine.

Very nice. I’m constantly emptying stuff out of my pockets and it usually ends up on the counter, dresser, desk, floor, etc. Oh, the ideas I get from this site!

Beautiful work. I saw this article and you have done a good job of improving the basic design. The Burl is really nice.

every time I see a box like this I want to start making them. I’ve got about a half dozen books on the subject, and soon will give them a try.

Great work!

I like the look of this item, but being a beginner I need more than a picture to build it. How do I get the cutting list and measurments?

Have your say...
