NOT “Contemporary candle holders” for Christmas!

I made A ton of these for Christmas gifts this year! I got the original idea from Steve Ramsey’s “Contemporary candle holder”, but I wanted a more curved and elegant look. While they are basicly the same, there are small changes so each one is unique. A mix of walnut, maple, and flamed maple for the bases. Bubinga for the top. Template routing for the outside curve. 1/2? R straight router bit with fence at 1/4 for the inset on the top and bottom of the base. 1/4 roundover bit to finish the edges. Finished in BLO and Shellac. Most have a satin (1200 grit) finish to the base. some were glossy. I left the pieces un-glued so they can be stored easier; or in the case of these presents, mailed!

Thanks pottz! But I looked at your past projects… you do very nice work. I think you ‘stealing’ this idea would be a downgrade for you! :)

thank you your very kind, but ive found over the past year that everyone that contributes here whether rank beginner or master woodworker has something to give that we can all learn something from, thats what I love about this place so never be afraid that what you do is not up to someone elses standards.looking to see much more from you-peace my friend.
