Christmas Gifts

Just taking a few minutes this morning to catch up a few things. This year’s Christmas gifts were completed and delivered with just a little hype.

In Pic 1- My wife’s new thread shelf for her sewing room. A simple shelf that will help to organize her threads for her Embroidery Machine. It is sitting on a kit project I bought and assembled. It is an ironing board station that will fold down like a small table with leaves The nice thing about it is it will allow her to close her sewing room door easier, since the current ironing board sits across the door. I was little pressed for time otherwise I think I would have done more research and built it myself.

Pic 2- Was trying to figure out a project for one of my nieces when I saw an idea on her Pinterest account. I decided to try out a turned doorstop which I have been meaning to do for a awhile now.

Pic 3- My other niece loves Christmas all year-round so with a bit of inspiration from Anna White I built her this Christmas Tree Shelf. She is in an apartment right now so I wanted to make this one to be able to sit on a table and later hang on a wall. I also predrilled several holes in the bottoms of the shelves in order to put in eye hooks should she want to hang ornaments in the future.

Hope the new year is a good one for all and I look forward to seeing what projects come out of your shops and mine.

Nice ideas and gifts you made Chris. Great inspiration too. My daughter needs a door stop and my wife would love that tree shelf for Christmas decorations. Nice work.

Thanks guys. They were all a lot of fun to make. Been wanting to make one of the doorstops for a while now as we needed on for one of our door in the house. So when I saw a doorstop on my niece’s want list I wanted to make one a little prettier then just the wedge of wood that was being offered for sale.

The plans for the tree shelf came from Anna White as mentioned. My other niece loves it and is going to finish it to her own taste.
