This is a Keepsake Box for my wife made out of quarter sawn white oak, maple and a ceramic tile. The plans were from Wood magazine and the tile is from Motawi Tileworks. the third picture shows the box on the shelf of the QSWO end table that I built last year (I think).
-- When I die I want to go like my grandfather did...peaceful, in his sleep...not screaming like the passengers in his car.

Nice job, Bull! I posted a mahogany box of the same design a month or so ago, so I know it’s a bit tricky to build. Yours is the first one I’ve seen in oak. I like it!

This is a nice box and you did a good job on its construction. The QSWO also looks pretty good as well. I have been meaning to build one of these as well but just can’t seem to move it up on my list since my wife feels it is her mission in life to find “commissions” to keep me busy.

I love the craftsman styling of this box and great selection of materials.
